Why I Create Jewellery: From Found Treasures to Statement Stories
Share
There’s something magical about turning forgotten buttons, vintage beads, and found bits and bobs into something that makes someone feel bold, beautiful, and seen. That’s why I create jewellery. Not just to decorate—but to transform, to empower, to tell a story
It Started with Curiosity (and a Sewing Box of Beads)
My journey started with a love of rummaging through charity shops, car boot sales, and old tins of broken brooches. I was fascinated by the colours, textures, and history wrapped up in every little piece. I began to see the possibilities in what others had overlooked.
Jewellery as Self-Expression
To me, jewellery isn’t just an accessory. It’s a way to say something about who you are—without needing to say a word. A bold necklace can make you feel powerful. A quirky brooch might reveal a playful side. A string of vintage beads can connect you to memories, stories, and a sense of style that’s truly yours.
Each piece I make is designed to do just that: help the wearer feel more them.
Sustainability with Sparkle
I also care deeply about the impact of what I create. The world doesn’t need more throwaway fashion. That’s why I reuse, repurpose, and rescue materials wherever I can. It’s not only better for the planet—it makes each design more meaningful. There’s a kind of magic in giving something a second life.
Every Piece Tells a Story
When you wear one of my designs, you’re not just wearing jewellery. You’re wearing history, creativity, care, and intention. You’re wearing something handcrafted by someone who genuinely loves what she does.
So that’s why I create. Because in a world full of mass production, I believe in making things with heart.
And because sometimes, a necklace isn’t just a necklace—it’s a little piece of joy, a tiny declaration of style, and a spark of who you really are.
