Mummy Butterfly ... the story

Mummy Butterfly ... the story

Mummy was sewing, knitting & crochet before she could walk!! Honest!
She has the real talent of the duo.
With a couple of craft shops under her belt over the years and a successful handmade kids clothes business - I had a pretty good guide to setting up my own little butterfly business.

Little Miss Butterfly

My background was at Art and fashion college, onto jobs as a fashion designer, buyer, personal shopper, visual merchandiser, marketing guru (hey it's my copy writing!!).

About me; for the month of November

My favourite new discovery:
My neck!! Yep, slightly bonkers but I've had tight shoulders since I was about 12. Being a stress head & constantly expecting 110% from myself (like we women do!) comes with a side portion of knots in back & shoulders. Anyway a hardcore massage with elbows into my shoulders has made the world of difference. The question is how long can I keep my nice long neck before my shoulders creep back up round my ears?!!!!

My fashion inspiration is: 1920's & 30's. Always a huge fan & considering a short bobbed haircut just so I can wear a cloche hat!!

My favourite drink: Port - with or without the cheese & biccies. Cheaper than putting the heating on ha ha.

Guilty Pleasure: Guilty Pleasures at Koko. We did the Halloween one again. Singalong to cheeeeese!

Favourite place to visit: Swimming pool, swimming is the best.

Just checked out: Top Hat the stage version of the wonderful Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers classic. It was wonderful.

Cherry, my fashion inspiration. You are always in my heart xx

Loving the picnics & garden parties ideas, have vintage the picnic set, just need the weather to coodinate with my days off!! :-)

Thank You to

I guess we really owe our talent & thanks to Gran & Grandmama who were from the "Make Do & Mend" era & created many superb things out of nothing - that's what we try to emulate where we can. So thank you to them for tempting & teachings.

We both love making & having a creative business its fabulous for the soul, even if it is hugely time consuming & hard work. It's all about the love x
